Ask me a travel question.

Ask me a travel question.

I have been on the road for 29 years. And I have visited more than 75 countries. So I know a fair bit about traveling and I am always happy to help fellow travelers if I can.

I get quite a few mails and messages from all over the world because of my blog. And I love them. Many of them are specific travel questions. Whenever I get these, I always try to answer them, if there is any chance that I can help. Having been to many countries and being constantly on the road, I know a fair bit. But I also have a good network of globetrotters around the world.

So whenever I get a travel question that I feel I can not answer properly, then I reach out to my network. I am also familiar with a lot of travel bloggers around the world and can often direct travelers towards a blog that deal with the kinda travel they want to do.

I have friends from all over the world.

I can not answer all travel questions. But I will do my best. And I am not recommending any companies for money by the way. This is something I do cause I like helping fellow travelers from around the globe. The greatest reward when I travel is the people I meet along the way. Both the natives of the places I visit and the international travelers who are out exploring. So if the knowledge I have gathered over the years can be useful to other travelers, then I am just happy.

I have been a lot in the Middle East among many places.

So do not feel shy about asking me a travel question. Heck, ask me any question. But I am generally better at asking travel related questions 🙂

You can ask me a travel question either by emailing me. Asking me on Facebook. Or by leaving e a comment on my blog. I will always try to get back to you as soon as possible, as long as it’s a serious question.

  1. 29 years? Wow. That is truly amazing.

My question: where is a place you really want to go in 2018? It can either be a place you want to go back to or a new place.

    Thank you.

    • When I chose what countries to go, it often comes down to certain events or because I am going to visit friends. I am off to Sri Lanka this winter. I am able to combine tour cycling on my own and working as a freelance tour leader for some Danish tourist groups. During summer months I have so far planned a little trip to Iceland with a group of international friends. And then I am looking in to cycling to Russia for the football world cup. That will all depend a little on the draws that takes place this friday though. On top of that I am really hoping that I can dig a little in to subsaharan Africa this year. Preferably doing some long distance tour cycling there. But my work calendar is not set yet, so I will need to see exactly what happen with my work situation before I decide where I will go and for how long.

  2. Heya,

Sounds like you travelled a lot through your life, or at least a lot more than me!

I suppose my question would be what is the nicest place that you have ever stayed? Specifically in regards to accommodation, not just the beautiful scenery.

    Thanks a lot

    • Hi’ Lucy. If we are talking nice accommodation, then I would maybe say Hotel Casino Park on Madeira island. Not that it’s the most expensive hotel I have stayed in, but I really like the architecture there and the views.

  3. This article is very good. I like it.Interesting post. Thanks for posting this. Please share more information. Weekend Getaways From Bangalore

  4. how can I find out which tours you are leading and maybe join?

    • Hi’ Mark. Thank you for your comment. I am currently mainly leading tours for Danish companies, as they simply pay better than companies from most other countries. This also means that they are done in Danish, so they are not too interesting for a non Dane to take part in. I do not organise tours myself, as I prefer to work as a freelancer for other companies. This way, I do not have to deal with a lot of the financial stuff regarding the tours. But if I decide to start organising trips for an international crowd, then I will for sure put it on my blog.

  5. Fantastic post.. Superb blog thanks for sharing this nice one … lovingly
