This morning I just started a 6 week journey by bicycle through Mexico. I’m not in a hurry and not out to set any speed records. Exploring Mexico and meeting Mexicans while cycling slowly around the country is my goal.

I have just been cycling through India, from Delhi to Kolkata. Here are a few notes and impressions from the trip.

Two days ago, I was cycling down the road in the Bihar province in rural India. Suddenly I noticed a guy walking past me in the opposite direction. He was wearing a big backpack and did not look like an Indian. So I stopped my bike to see who was there in the middle of nowhere.
