Albufeira in southern Portugal is a very popular holiday destination in the summer. But in the winter things are more quiet and many hotels are not very busy at all. This gives you the chance to have a very cheap long stay in Albufeira. Apartamentos Rainha D Leonor is a good choice for that.

I recently spent a few days in Albufeira, where I rented a little hotel apartment for a couple of days. The price was so cheap that I thought this would be really good for a long stay in Albufeira, when the prices here are extremely cheap.

Rainha D Leonor is centrally located.
The place I stayed is called Apartamentos Rainha D Leonor. It’s located smack in the old town, just above the beach in a quiet street. You can hardly get a better location if you want to stay near the town center, without being in the actual bar street.

Apartamentos Rainha D Leonor is owned by a very nice Portuguese couple who speak english and are very nice. They have a little common room with a bar at the place and there is a nice little garden with a pool there too.
Nice big kitchen at Apartamentos Rainha D Leonor
My studio apartment was fairly small. But it was very functional. One room where I had two combined beds/sofas and a nice bathroom and a fairly large and very functional kitchen. I was on the ground floor and could almost jump directly into the pool from my room. I was very happy with that. Should I mention one thing that could have been a little better, then the internet connection was a little on and off. Sometimes very fine. But sometimes it would go off. This is one thing that many long term stayers are worried about as they often work online, while staying for a long time in a place.
Albufeira has a nice beach.
All in all I was very happy there. Especially since I only paid 15€, yes 15€, per night there for a studio apartment. This price of course varies, all depending on what time a year you are there. But this is why I say that this place is perfect for a long stay in Albufeira during winter months. This is not the place if you are looking for a luxury holiday. But the kinda place you want to stay at if you like to have a place that is simple and cheap. As well as functional and friendly.
